Strawberry Cake from Susie's Cakes

Update (July 2022): A bunch of Susie's Cakes temporarily closed during the pandemic but they're slowly opening back up again! I've been longing to get this cake again. There's one in San Carlos and apparently this strawberry cake is called the Summer Berry Cake. It isn't always available year-round, but now it's back in stores, so hurry and grab a slice today!

I like hunting for some dessert after dinner, and this night was no different. We had just eaten in Menlo Park and then strolled into Susie's Cakes to see what was up.

We saw someone else sampling their cakes, so we jumped in on that too. The lady who was working there was really nice and friendly, recommending us different ones to try.

We ended up getting the strawberry cake. We took it home in a to-go box to enjoy. Mind you, one slice is giant! It contains layers and layers of wonderful strawberry goodness.

I can't wait to go back and get another slice! Here are the locations across California and apparently Texas too. They have cookies, cupcakes, pies, and other cakes too - everything you need for a mouth full of cavities. ;)

Oh and if you ask for Susie, she's unfortunately not there. LoL we tried.

P.S. The other time I've tried Susie's Cakes is for a family party. My family got this incredibly massive chocolate cake from there. It's like a wall of cake. We barely made a dent in it. I think we got to the halfway point by cutting big slices for people to take home and this was still left!

The chocolate cake is really rich, so I think I actually like the strawberry one better. Fruit = healthier for you right? ;)
