Somehow I came across pictures of this library and felt so captured by it, that I had to come visit it in person. I wish the pictures did it justice.

It's beautiful, serene, and calm, and I couldn't soak enough of it in.
It's a cozy small library, but each space is thoughtfully put together and has a glimpse into the nature that surrounds it, with floor to ceiling windows.

The furniture is beautiful, the wood tables and chairs look like they are impeccably made.
There's an open patio for people to sit to enjoy a snack, read, or just get some fresh air and be even closer to the magnificent trees!

This library is very kid friendly too, here are the children's books.

And a little play area with a canopy, with little "stumps" to make believe you are sitting around a campfire for a storytime.

I also love how their picture books are categorized into such thoughtful categories!! We couldn't stayed for hours reading more books!

When the kids get restless, you can bring them to this nearby park that's a short walk down a slope from the library. Also stunning and peaceful park amidst the natural surroundings. The kids were quite happy playing here.

As someone who hopes to read more this year, I hope you get to visit this library or other libraries near you to relish in the comfort of a good book.

P.S. If this place is a little far for you, you could stay at a nearby hotel. We stayed a night at the Acqua Hotel (https://acquahotel.com/) which was a fair 3 stars and includes a complimentary breakfast buffet and cookies in the afternoon. Rooms are a bit snug and the walls are thin, but has the essentials of what you need. We sat on the back patio to watch the sunset too. Ah it's beautiful in Mill Valley.
