A Lunch Box for Back-To-School: PlanetBox Rover

During the pandemic, I started watching these "What My Kids Eat in A Day" videos from YouTuber Winny Hayes. Those kids are so lucky, they eat like royalty! She's super creative and artsy in what she packs in those lunchboxes. And she usually uses bento boxes or what I learned is the PlanetBox Rover lunchbox. Here's her review on it (not a sponsored video!) and she uses it in soo many of her videos.

It's a stainless steel lunchbox with several compartments and it has a latch to close. I previously bought a LunchBots one with 4 compartments, but it leaked all over the lunchbox when I packed some veggies that were a little more watery. -_- So then I ended up putting the lunchbox in a baggy, which was cumbersome.

The Rover looks like a whole other ballgame! So sleek and looks so useful with all the add-ons you can get. When I saw that the PlanetBox website had a 30% off back-to-school sale, I had to buy one.

It's not leakproof but there are big and little "dipper" containers with a lid that you can put more watery foods in, and they fit within a compartment too. There's also these colored silicone squares that can serve as sectionals within the compartments. I just started adding all these things to my cart ("oh I'll need those", "oh definitely those too"): an ice pack, a stainless steel cup (for home, not for packing on the go), magnetic utensils, a carry bag for the Rover, dippers, and the little sectional things. It was a whole haul. ;) (I felt like the mom in this Dude Dad video: My Wife During Back to School lolz.)

It takes awhile to ship (from the website) but so worth the wait! When I unpacked everything, here's how it all looked! Btw the Shuttle is the smaller version of the Rover (for snacks and with less compartments).

When you order a Rover or Shuttle, you get to choose a free set of magnets that you can decorate on top of the lunchbox. They don't have the widest selection of magnets, and it doesn't seem that necessary, but there were a couple that were cute.

When you open it, there's a little and big dipper already inside! I didn't realize that, so I had purchased a big dipper separately, so now we have 2!

We already started using the magnetic utensils and they're a great size. The stainless steel cup is good (holds a lot of liquid) but it is very cold to hold if you poured cold milk in it (compared to holding a plastic cup with cold milk).

Haven't tried the lunchbox yet, but I already want to buy more as gifts haha (especially because the sale is still going on!). My husband just shook his head haha.

Browse here for PlanetBox. Excuse me while I head back to Winny's videos so I can make some lunchbox art!
