Dutch baby pancake at The Original Pancake House in Los Altos

For as long as I can remember, pancakes have been my favorite foods (rivaled maybe only by dumplings). I like all types of pancakes - Chinese ones, Korean ones, American ones, German ones, Swedish ones, sweet ones, savory ones, etc..

So when I saw that The Original Pancake House in Los Altos has a dutch baby pancake as their speciality, I had to try it! I went on my own so I could fully indulge, and went really early in the morning. The place was empty. It has a bit of an old-fashioned diner feel to it.

Ordered it and here it is in all its beauty!

Side angle, look how tall it is!

It surprisingly wasn't that sweet. I feel like like I definitely needed the lemon squeeze and butter to go with it. Overall it wasn't too bad, and like many things on my blog, it was fun to try! :D I did return with my hubby and we got other breakfast plates, but I feel like this one is more their speciality along with probably other dishes that I haven't tried yet.

I've also heard that dutch baby pancakes are easy to make at home, so I would totally try to make it at home!
