Community Socials at The Village at San Antonio Center in Mountain View

The Village at San Antonio Center in Mountain View has been built up and evolving in the past 5-10 years to include luxury apartment complexes, a hotel Hyatt Centric, restaurants including Pacific Catch and Mendocino Farms, fitness places, office spaces, a movie theater, and more. It's located by the intersection of San Antonio Road and El Camino Real in Mountain View, near the Safeway.

There's an open green space in the center of The Village, where they're holding free community socials once a month!

This month's event was called Bubblepalooza which was a fun family event for kids. There was a foam machine with tons of foam piling up on the grass and blowing across the space (kids covered from head to toe in foam!).

Sterling the Bubble Artist was also there, who we often see at these kids events throughout the bay! He has all these wands (is that the right word?) that create these really amazing bubbles of different shapes and sizes. Kids love gathering around him and popping/chasing the scores of bubbles that he creates. He is the bubble master!

Enormous bubbles:

There were also balloon artists for kids to line up to get a creation of their choice. This one's a tiger!

Music with a DJ in the background to keep it lively.

And something unique I hadn't seen before - Artist Rich Diltz was doing airbrush graffiti on canvas tote bags. You could create your own but he is much more artistic! You could tell him what you wanted on the tote bag and he would airbrush it and personalize it with a name too!

Overall it was a fun time, and the little one was very hungry and tired out afterwards, so our mission was accomplished. :P

Check out upcoming events at The Village.
