Galette des Rois (Kings Cake) from French Bakery Maison Alyzee

Throughout January, you can get Galette des Rois (or Kings Cake) from French bakeries such as Maison Alyzee, which is located in Mountain View and Burlingame. I believe it's also available through the first week of February at this bakery too. This cake is in honor of The Epiphany when The 3 Kings visited baby Jesus.

They have different sizes ranging from individual serving to 7 inch, 8 inch, and 9.5 inch cakes.

I can't eat a whole cake so I opted for the individual one:

It's actually really good! Flaky puff pastry and almond filling inside. I liked it!

So as mentioned, they will have it for a little longer at Maison Alyzee until early February.

I think other French bakeries like Mademoiselle Colette in Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Redwood City, and Atherton also have this cake but it may not be available anymore after January. But at least you will know for next year!
